As a part of our commitment to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability, a Seed Ball Planting Activity was organised on 29th September, aligning with the initiatives of Qatar to create greener spaces. Conducted under the guidance and encouragement of the school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar, and with the full support of the school management, the event witnessed an overwhelming participation of 5000 students from Classes IV to VIII. Addressing the students, the Principal appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
Students prepared eco-friendly seed balls using soil, compost, and carefully chosen seeds, and dispersed them in the school gardens and nearby open spaces with the hope of creating vibrant green areas in the near future. The entire program was meticulously coordinated by the in-charge teachers of CCF (Campus Care Force): Mr. Jency George, Mrs. Radhika Rajan, Mrs. Pradnya Pandey, Mrs. Bitty Varghese, along with Scout Master Mr. Rajesh K.S. and Mrs. Ramla K. K. The activity provided students with valuable hands-on experience, fostered a sense of responsibility towards nature, and raised awareness about afforestation and biodiversity conservation.
