PARENTS SHOWCASE TALENTS AT MES GOLDEN MEMORIES FEST

As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, M.E.S Indian School recently hosted a vibrant cultural and literary fest for parents, providing a platform to showcase their artistic and literary talents in a friendly ambience. The series of events comprising a range of competitions took place across two days with off-stage events on 26th October 2024 and on-stage events on 31st October 2024. During the inaugural session, a special video was played, featuring the highlights of the school’s 50-year historic journey for the cause of education and the welfare of expatriates.

The literary events included essay writing, origami, and painting, where parents exhibited creativity, craftsmanship, and eloquence. Following are the literary competitions for parents who participated in the cultural events, which featured light music, folk dance, fancy dress, family group songs, keyboard performances, and mono acting. Each participant brought out unique perspective artistic and expressive skills with great enthusiasm creating an engaging atmosphere of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.

The festivities concluded with a grand valedictory function on 31st October, graced by esteemed guests, including Mr. Usman A.T, Treasurer, and Mr. Ashraf Sharafudheen, Director, Academics, M.E.S Governing Board were the Chief Guests. Mr. Ansar, Director, M.E.S Governing Board also graced the occasion. The awards for the best individual artists were presented to Mr Shameel Abdul Jaleel receiving the title of ‘Best Male Individual Artist’ and Ms Dhanya Prashant as the ‘Best Female Individual Artist’, recognizing their outstanding talents and dedication to the event. Winners of various competitions were awarded mementoes and certificates as tokens of appreciation for their accomplishments.

Mrs. Hameeda Kadar, Principal congratulated the participants and expressed her amazement at the impressive turnout and the array of talents displayed. The event’s success highlighted the strong bond between the school and its community, as parents and families joined hands to celebrate this significant milestone.

The success of the Golden Memories—Parent’s Fest is attributed to the efforts of the organizing team, which comprises Mr Harshan as coordinator and was ably supported by Mr Anver K and Mrs Sumitha Nassar as General Convenors and members of the Cultural Committee: Mr Sabino Mathew and Mrs Ajnu Ali.
