PRIZES GALORE AS MES WINS OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE 8th USWA-E-RASUL INTERSCHOOL ELOCUTION & HOLY QUR’AN RECITATION COMPETITIONS-2024

By virtue of securing maximum points in the competition, M.E.S Indian School bagged the Overall Championship in the 8th Uswa e rasul Interschool Elocution Competition & Holy Quran recitation competition held at Ideal Indian School on 26th September 2024. The Competitions were organized for the expatriate schools from the Indian subcontinent ( India, Pakistan & Bangladesh) in Qatar. Out of 18 schools that participated in the competition, MES won the Overall trophy with the highest points.

The competitions were conducted in Senior and Junior categories for boys and girls. For juniors the topic was ‘The mercy and compassion of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’ and for the seniors it was ‘Social justice principles established by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’. Miss Onaisa Rashid of Class XII- bagged the first prize in the Senior category while Miss Aaesha Fathima of Class VIII won the first prize in the Junior category of the competition. In the Holy Quran recitation competition, Abdul Rahman secured the second prize in the Senior category and Mohammad Umair Mujeeb of Class VI won the first Prize in the Junior category.  Mrs. Rassia Hamza, Ms. Shaheen Zubaida and Mr. Mohd Athar trained the students for the elocution. Mr. Habeebullah and Mr. Manasul Ansari were the trainers of the Quran recitation. Mr. Usman Mayyeri, Head of the Department, Arabic, Urdu & Islamic Studies, was the school’s coordinator.

Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal, M.E.S Indian School congratulated the winners and the trainers for bringing laurels and maintaining sustained efforts in achieving accolades.
