REGALIA 2025 CONCLUDES WITH CULTURAL FERVOUR AT M.E.S INDIAN SCHOOL – EVENING SHIFT

The Evening Shift of M.E.S Indian School, Doha, successfully concluded its much-awaited annual cultural event, Youth Festival – Regalia 2025, with vibrant performances and enthusiastic participation. Held on the 28th and 29th of May, the festival showcased the school’s commitment to nurturing creativity and holistic development through the arts.

 

The cultural celebration was preceded by preliminary competitions on May 24, which included events such as Action Song, Cinematic Dance, Poem Recitation, and Mappilappattu. Earlier, the finals for Fancy Dress, Painting, and Pencil Drawing were conducted on May 18, setting an energetic tone for the main event.

 

Students participated across four categories—Sub-Junior 1, Sub-Junior 2, Junior, and Intermediate—in a variety of events, ranging from Folk Dance, Light Music, and Elocution to Mono Act and Islamic programmes like Hifz and Tajweed. The events reflected a diverse display of student talents and strong preparation.

 

The Valedictory Function, held on June 14, marked the formal conclusion of Regalia 2025. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Fasalu P.P., Director of the M.E.S Governing Board. The school Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, extended her warm congratulations to the winners and participants. Senior Vice Principal Mr. Shihabudeen commended the students for their passionate involvement and praised the collaborative efforts of staff and coordinators.

 

The winners were announced during the function. In the Intermediate Category, Ahmad Barkath Ali (8 B, Green House) and Eva Brijith Biju (8 B, Green House) secured the top honours among boys and girls respectively. Abdullah Abrar Shaheem (6 C, Blue House) and Evrine Tessa Dias (6 A, Red House) emerged victorious in the Junior Category. In Sub-Junior 2, Muhammed Thameem Kallan (4 D, Yellow House) won in the boys’ section, while Rachanya Adlin Immanuel Franklin (4 D, Blue House) claimed the girls’ title. In Sub-Junior 1, Hafsa Shajahan (1 C, Yellow House) stood first among girls. There were no male entries in that category.

 

The festival was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Asha Satheesan, Ms. Dharini and Ms. Blessy J whose dedicated planning and guidance contributed immensely to the success of Regalia 2025.
