THREE-DAY ORIENTATION EMPOWERS M.E.S EDUCATORS UNLOCKING INNOVATION IN PEDAGOGY, CLASSROOM MASTERY AND PERSONAL WELL-BEING

MES Indian School organized a three-day Teachers’ Orientation Programme at the Conference Hall from 26th to 28th October 2025, aiming to strengthen professional competence, improve classroom practices, promote pedagogical enrichment and innovation, and support personal growth and well-being among the teaching community. The programme was held under the theme ‘Empowering Educators-Building Tomorrow, Today’.

Facilitated by experienced educators and experts as resource persons, the orientation blended interactive workshops, discussions, and collaborative activities, creating an environment conducive to professional enhancement and innovation. The inaugural session was jointly led by, Mr. Mohammed Rashid H, Manager, Admin & Facilities and Ms. Syedda Umme Salma, Management Secretary and HR Coordinator, which focused on updating educators with essential knowledge on school rules, policies, procedures besides providing insights into Qatar Labour Laws, and Employee Benefits. The HR team also addressed various queries from the staff. The ICT Department headed by ICT personnel, Mr Ankush and Mr Mohammed Haroon conducted a practical session on ERP Training. This was followed by an interactive session on ‘Learning Outcomes and Pedagogy’ by Ms. Reshmi Ali and Ms. Maina, and another session on ‘Global Citizenship Education’ by Mr. Jency George, Mr. Rajesh K.S., and Ms. Radhika. The day concluded with Innovative Teaching Techniques by Ms. Shyna Anil which was followed by section-wise meetings led by the school key functionaries.

The penultimate day of the orientation programme began with Ms. Aaliya Masoodi and her team conducting an effective session on Nurturing Empathy, Acceptance, and Compassion emphasizing the importance of social-emotional learning in classrooms. Teachers also attended a session titled, ‘The Art of Questioning’ conducted by Ms. Gunjan, Ms. Nasreen, and Ms. Khairunnesa (MESIS), while Ms. Supriya C, Head of Girls’ Section presented an engaging online session on ‘Theory of Knowledge – QNV 2030. Ms. Farsha Ashraf and Ms. Hajera Kouser explored practical strategies to support diverse learners in ‘Inclusive Classrooms.’ The final day witnessed. The Department of Guidance and Counselling—Ms. Fashna, Ms. Ameena,

Ms. Tulika, and Ms. Sahla—conducting a session on ‘Equipping Educators to Support Student Well-being’ highlighting the importance of emotional and mental health in schools. Dr. Reshma led a session on Digital Learning, showcasing innovative ways to integrate technology into teaching. A demo on the Mobile Lab App was conducted by Mr. Nischals Narayanan, who introduced AI tools for the classroom use which was followed by a lively interaction as teachers explored the prospective of those applications. The day’s programme concluded with a reflective session on Self-Care, Personal Growth & Mindfulness by Ms. Mary Cynthia, encouraging teachers to prioritize their well-being and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

 

 

The three-day orientation programme served as a meaningful platform for professional growth and collaboration. By blending institutional clarity with innovative teaching practices and well-being strategies, it empowered educators to build inclusive, engaging, and empathetic classrooms that inspire lifelong learning and holistic development of students. Ms Shiney Suresh delivered welcome address and proposed a vote of thanks.
